This is what Queen Elizabeth eats for breakfast every day, and we’re very surprised
Caviar, scrambled eggs, Champagne… all that kind of stuff.
Well, you may be disappointed to learn that Queen Elizabeth eats a very un-royal breakfast every day.
Apparently, the Queen enjoys a pot of Earl Grey tea and a few biscuits for breakfast.
Then after she’s up and dressed, Elizabeth II is served cereal and fruit.
According to The Telegraph, Queen Elizabeth’s cereal of choice is Special K, which she keeps stored in plastic Tupperware to keep it fresh.
In fact, the cereal is even brought to the Queen in the Tupperware, so she can serve herself. Dead right.
Former Royal Chef Darren McGrady told Marie Claire: “Breakfast was very simple for Her Majesty.”
“Some Kellogg’s cereal from a plastic container, which she’d serve herself. And some Darjeeling tea.”
Kellogg’s, Quaker Oats and Weetabix all hold royal warrants, which means that they are official suppliers to the royal family – a pretty big deal fyi.
This honour isn’t just awarded to food; clothing brands, tradesmen, and entertainment businesses have also been granted royal Warrants.
For example, Launer London, the brand behind Queen Elizabeth’s handbags, has an official royal Warrant.
